Drumroll please.... Meet our new daughter!

I am so excited to announce that we are accepting our referral for our new daughter! I can hardly believe that this is happening - and our hearts are soaring! Now we have a million questions to ask our agency so we can get started planning our trip and what to bring and do.

I can hardly contain myself!!!!

Here are a couple of pics of her. She is beatiful, isn't she?

Her name is Qin Jia. She is at the Jiamusi CWI in Heilongjiang province. She was born Feb 28, 2004 - and she's a monkey just like me! I can't wait to travel to China and get her.

OH my gosh - it's really going to happen. We're going to be a family of four!!!!
GOD is GOOD!

A huge congratulations to you and your family! I am so very happy for you. Yes, she is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE and looks so full of personality!

I was reading some on her province last week, sounds like it will be an interesting place to travel to - and maybe a little cold!

Good luck as you prepare to travel - I will certainly be following along.

So happy for you. Congratulations.
I love stories with a happy ending...or should I say those that start with a great beginning.
Congrats again.

What does Kenzie think? I'm not sure she really has allowed it to sink in yet. We have been planning to adopt a little sister for three years, so I'm sure she doesn't yet realize that this is real.

Maybe when I take her with me to shop for stuff for her little sister she'll start to think of it as real.

Congratulations!!
She is ABSOLUTELY EXQUISITE!
Enjoy this day. You have waited long enough!
Wishing you a speedy travel to her.

Give Big Sister Kenzie a special hug.

You know I will be following closely!
...and yes, God is Good!
Blessings,
Gail

Best wishes from a RQ lurker who has been following your blog for the last month! I think you and your family have shown uncommon grace and poise in making difficult decisions.

Your new daughter looks lively and beautiful and is genuinely lucky to be part of a thoughtful, loving family such as yours.

Thanks for sharing! Please continue to post as your adoption journey continues!

Congratulations she is Beautiful!!!

global girl - I want to wait and see if she still wants to be called Jia or is willing to use her American name "Josie". We will still name her Josie Richelle and include her Chinese name in her complete name... but she is at an age to make this decision for herself.

We've seen each other's YouTube videos, but I just saw that you're adopting a four year old, just like we did last year :) How exciting!! Congratulations!

Karyn,

I couldn't visit your blog - if you get this, can you tell me which Youtube video is yours? I'd love to see it again.

I've been doing a lot of reading to prepare myself for the adoption. I'm good with little babies - not so sure about my abilities with older children...
